Common Questions

Safari Services FAQ

How far in advance should I book gorilla permits?
We recommend booking 3–6 months ahead for peak seasons (June–September and December–February). Last-minute permits are sometimes available in low season - contact us and we will check UWA availability immediately.
What is included in a typical Decade Tours safari package?
Most packages include your 4x4 vehicle and driver-guide, fuel, accommodation, meals per plan, park fees, scheduled activities, and airport transfers. Permits, visas, flights, tips, and travel insurance are quoted separately unless stated otherwise.
Can you arrange airport pickup from Entebbe?
Yes. Every safari we operate includes meet-and-greet at Entebbe International Airport on your arrival day, with transfer to your Kampala hotel or directly to your first park depending on your itinerary and flight time.
Do you offer budget safaris or only luxury travel?
We serve all comfort levels - from camping and mid-range lodges to Uganda's top luxury properties. Your itinerary and quote are built around your budget, not a one-size-fits-all template.
Can I combine gorilla trekking with a wildlife safari?
Absolutely - this is our most popular combination. A typical 8–10 day circuit includes Bwindi gorillas, Queen Elizabeth game drives, Kibale chimps, and Murchison Falls. We optimize routing to minimize backtracking.
Do you help with Uganda visa applications?
We provide step-by-step guidance for the Uganda e-visa (apply online at visas.immigration.go.ug). While you apply directly, our team assists with documentation questions and timing relative to your travel dates.
“Decade Tours secured our gorilla permits, booked every lodge, and assigned us an incredible guide who knew every park gate and shortcut. From Entebbe pickup to our last night in Kampala - flawless.”
