Gorilla Habituation Experience
Tour Overview
Go beyond ordinary gorilla trekking with the exclusive Gorilla Habituation Experience—spending up to 4 hours with a gorilla family that is being habituated to human presence. This rare and intimate encounter is limited to just 4 visitors per day, making it one of Africa's most exclusive wildlife experiences. Unlike standard gorilla trekking (1 hour), the habituation experience lets you observe the full range of gorilla behavior—feeding, playing, socializing, nest-building, and even mating rituals. You'll work alongside researchers and trackers who are gradually accustoming the gorillas to human visitors, contributing directly to conservation. This 5-day package includes the $1,500 habituation permit, comfortable accommodation, and an optional Batwa cultural experience.
