Sipi Falls & Mount Elgon
About Sipi Falls & Mount Elgon
Sipi Falls is a series of three stunning waterfalls on the foothills of Mount Elgon near Kapchorwa in eastern Uganda. The main 100-metre cascade plunges into a lush valley with views across the Karamoja plains to Kenya. Adventure activities include abseiling down the falls, guided hikes to all three falls, Mount Elgon summit treks (Wagagai peak at 4,321m), and coffee tours through Bugisu arabica plantations-some of Uganda's finest coffee grows on these volcanic slopes. Sipi is a perfect add-on between Jinja and Kidepo or as a standalone weekend escape from Kampala.
