Semuliki National Park
About Semuliki National Park
Semuliki National Park is an extension of the Congo Basin into Uganda-a lowland tropical rainforest harbouring Central African species found nowhere else in East Africa. The Sempaya Hot Springs (male and female) bubble at 103°C and are a cultural and geological wonder. With over 440 bird species including 46 Guinea-Congo biome specialists, Semuliki is a birder's paradise. Forest walks reveal red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and pygmy hippos. Located in the Albertine Rift near Fort Portal, it pairs perfectly with Kibale and Queen Elizabeth safaris.
