Why Kidepo Valley Should Be on Your Uganda Safari List

Africa's Hidden Gem

Kidepo Valley National Park sits in Uganda's far northeast, bordering South Sudan and Kenya. CNN once named it among Africa's best parks-and for good reason.

Getting There

A charter flight from Entebbe (1.5 hours) is the comfortable option. Overland is possible but requires a full day's drive. Most visitors spend 3-4 nights.

What to See

Narus Valley teems with elephants, lions, buffalo, and cheetahs. The dry Kidepo Valley offers ostriches and secretary birds. Karamojong manyatta visits add rich cultural depth.
